    How do I customize a shipment?
    If you have special needs and don't see a shipping option that fills those needs, simply click on the "Customize Shipping Options" button when that becomes available. Examples of when you might want to customize a shipment:

    • If you have a time-definite need, you can state exactly when you want your package picked up and delivered, even if it falls outside of regularly scheduled delivery runs.
    • If you have a multi-stop shipment (e.g., ship my package from point A to point B to point C and back to point A).
    • If you have an oversize, heavy, or fragile item that requires special handling.

    Is my package insured?
    Yes, just like other national package and express delivery services, your package is insured by Smart Delivery Service Inc, generally up to $100, from the time it is picked up to the time it is dropped off. You can increase the value of this coverage by stating a declared value when you place the order.

    Is the information I provide on Smart private and secure?
    Yes. We take your privacy very seriously and take several measures to ensure the security of your information. First, every Smart user must log on to the site with a unique user name and password to access any private information. Furthermore, all information relating to addresses, shipping history, etc., that is transferred over the Internet is encrypted using a 40-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) connection. Finally, Smart adheres to a strict privacy policy developed by Trust-e, an independent, non-profit organization established to ensure Internet privacy.
